In addition to crafting O.M.G!, Rusko is responsible for much of the production on M.I.A.’s forthcoming album, including the Space Odyssey single. Outside of the studio, a relentless DJ schedule has already taken Rusko across the UK, Europe, US and Canada, and continues with imminent US tour dates alongside Diplo and Switch’s Major Lazer outfit as well as further summer outings.
O.M.G! sees Rusko marrying dubstep to a broader palate of synthetic styles, bringing together UK and US dancefloor sounds and uniting a seemingly disparate array of guests through his visceral, fun-loving production. The result is a unique sunshine-soaked pool party of a record. Opening with devastating dubstep wobbler and current single Woo-Boost, Rusko then takes Amber Coffman of Brooklyn experimental rock band Dirty Projectors on an unexpected detour through UKG and garage with future summer anthem Hold On.
Other guests and myriad highlights include; uplifting house workout Feels So Real featuring the soulful stylings of Ben Westbeech, the thunderous Oy, co-produced alongside Italian duo Crookers, and the deep sea sub bass of Rubadub Shakedow with live sidekick Rod Azlan. Fellow up and coming producer Redlight (formerly DJ Clipz) makes his vocal debut on Scareware, whilst Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane laces the bumping low-slung Got Da Groove.
